Officers of the Abbey
Foundation
Abbot : Fr. Geof Franklin, O.L., D.D.
The Abbot is the most senior person in the Abbey's Foundation. He (or she) is
elected by the Order and Board of Directors. Under the Charter of the
Order and the Articals of the Abbey he has certain defined powers and
is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the
Abbey. The Abbot is the Chairman of the Order's Board of Directors.
Claustral Prior : Sr. Barbara
The Claustral Prior keeps the records of accounts and has charge of
all monies and securities of the Abbey and is thus responsible for the
disbursement of the Abbey's funds. The Claustral Prior sits on the
Order's Board of Directors as the Treasurer and is the head of
the Finance committee.
Sub-Prior : Br. Kenneth Sanderson
The Sub-Prior is responsible for coordinating the educational quality
of the Abbey and our various Schools. The Sub-Prior is further
responsible for the spiritual well-being of the Educational system
within the Abbey. The Sub-Prior sits as Secretary on the Order's Board
of Directors.
The Greater Chapter
Canon Missioner : Fr. Geof Franklin, O.L., D.D.
Charged with the responsibilities of coordinating, evaluating and
designing the various outreach projects and programs of the Abbey.
The Canon appoints a number of Vicars to assist the operations of the
office. The Canon reports to the Claustral Prior.
Vicar of Outreach, In the Garden : Sr. Barbara
Responsible for the daily operations of the "In the Garden" outreach
program. This program seeks to gather real donations of shrubbery that
is normally lost due to construction projects as our communities grow
and return them to other communities looking to beautify their urban
spaces at little or no cost to them.
Warden : Pending Appointment
Primarily responsible for fund raising activities in the Abbey. The Warden
is the Abbey's grant writer and tithing coordinator. Without this influx
of funds the various Outreach programs of the Abbey could not operate.
The Warden reports to the Claustral Prior and is a member of the Buildings
and Grounds committee as well as the vice-chair of the Finance committee.
Vicar of Publications : Fr. Geof Franklin, O.L., D.D.
Charged with the duty of creating and maintaining the various
publications and bulletins of the Abbey, such as its web sites
and the Abbey's Broadsheet. The Vicar of Publications reports to
the Abbot.
